The National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) is the trade association that represents the venture capital industry. It is a member-based organization. Its membership consists of venture capital firms and organizations who manage pools of risk equity capital designated to be invested in young, emerging companies. Currently, the NVCA represents 400+ member firms, representing the majority of venture capital invested in U.S. based companies.

TiE, a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals, was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley, California, USA. Although its birth name, The Indus Entrepreneurs, signifies the ethnic South Asian or Indus roots of the founders, TiE stands for Talent, Ideas and Enterprise. It is an open and inclusive organization that has rapidly grown to more than forty chapters in nine countries. TiE endeavors to cultivate and nurture the ecosystems of entrepreneurship and free-market economies everywhere, as it sees this to be the single most powerful instrument of prosperity.


The Indian Venture Capital Association

The Indian Venture Capital Association(IVCA) is the country's umbrella association of Venture Capital funds, with a mission to facilitate the growth of Venture Capital and Private Equity activities and create a conducive environment within India for Venture Capital and Entrepreneurship. The IVCA office is based in New Delhi, the seat of government, allowing the association to lobby effectively on key regulatory issues.
